| | The reason why I featured this picture here will be revealed soon. I've been edging closer to stay-at-home, bonbon-eating housewife (except I don't eat bonbons) during these 3 weeks of summer that I have had so far. Which means I also watch The Tyra Show (but strangely not Oprah). Yesterday there was this episode about "Finding the right guy" and "Staying away from the wrong guys" and one guy would kiss these girls' hands during their speed dates. And today, I was reading the Kenwood blog (Kenwood was John Lennon's residence in Surrey) and some pictures from my favorite outtake with John and Cynthia were there, photographed by Robert Whitaker who I was soooo priviledged to meet at La Jolla's Morrison Hotel Gallery. Ok so Tyra Show + Robert Whitaker made me think back to that event when I met him and told him that he took some of my favorite photographs of The Beatles and he went "Really now?" in that English accent AND KISSED MY HAND. My roomie, who was with me (yes, I drag her to these events HAHA but we really enjoyed our outing that night!) said I looked so surprised/disgusted. Sorry, but GUYS DON'T NORMALLY KISS MY HAND.
So my question is...Is that supposed to be normal or something? The girls on The Tyra Show were just like "thank you" when the guy kissed their hands and I think I would've been a bit taken aback.
Eh, despite the uber awkward encounter with one of my favorite Beatles photographers, I hope I meet him again because I was soooo star/photogstruck that I wasn't able to ask him everything I've always wanted to know about his work. Like if he had a book out (I'd totally purchase it) and how did he like John Lennon's home and did he notice any tension between John and Cynthia. Ehhhhh there's even more...I should write these down.
